weird weird weird. I got the same thing, only I am not selling ANYTHING at the present time, including drum parts!

Hi Steve,
I did check the item number in the scam email and it turned out to be bogus. It is possbile that the email was just fishing or they might have sent a legitimate potential buyer email previously for a legitimate item I was selling so they could get my email address and then sent the scam email later.Best,
Yes, I did the same. The drum thing is just a big, bizarre coincidence. To my knowledge, and someone should correct me if I'm wrong, *nothing* comes in the form of e-mail from eBay except a notice about your statement and the "favorite sellers" blurb thingie. Everything else is in the form of messages after you log in.
I have had legitimate emails come both ways.Best,
Hotmail tags the non-ebay sourced emails with an exclamation mark.
Peace, buyer beware.
