Whatever- it is not well managed, do you believe it is?The amp, again, did not arrive today, yet FED EX claims it is on the local delivery truck. It is BS.

I believe Fedex is as well-managed as its weakest link. Although the company has rigid policies for its independant contractors, it may not always be policed as well as it should be, especially if you live in a sparsely-populated area where contractor competition is minimal. Like UPS or USPS, some people are going to love Fedex and some people are going to hate Fedex .... mostly depending on their location. It's just that Fedex may be more prone to variations with customer experience due to its business model.
and, of course, damaged. All the foam was broken to bits & the top of the guitar amp case was pushed in about 1/2" plus the reverb tank screws were ripped away from the wood cabinet. Obviously dropped quite a distance or perhaps 'cartwheeled' out the end of a truck.
make absolutely sure you take notes. Take down the respondent's name and number, and also get a claim number from him or her immediately. Don't become reassured if he says an inspector will be out. They will not send an inspector and should you forget, then they will say that the deadline for filing a claim has passed. Make a recording of the conversation if possible.
I've been ripped off too many times from fedex.
They return the amp to me after picking up per seller request to start the claim.
Built a new cabinet & installed the amp chassis.
