Sorry to here about your super 3s. They are a great computer speaker. The Stromberg Carlsons were only made for a short period of time and, I think, sound better than any other coax I've heard. I found them at a flee market for $40.00 for the pair. The problem I had with the Edgarhorns, was that my midhorn with the Altec 288C were so much more efficient than my tweeters and bass horns. I sold it all off yesterday, but when I have the money I will build up another set using an Merchant active crossover and three amps.....one for highs, one for mids, and one for woof. Cheers. P.S. sorry if I don't sound so cooherent, but I am taking Lortab and had a couple beers.
Follow Ups:
They look real nice. Maybe I can land a pair myself.I got some really good JBL vintage speakers myself. I paind 200 a pair but they went for like 2600 on E-bay. I haven't done any significany comparisons with other speakers yet.
Don't worry, I'm plastered myself. :) I'm taking a break.
Which JBLs? The first piece of audio equipment I bought was four JBL L26 and a Sansui amp and Sansui reciever. I ordered it while I was in the Navy from the Navy store. All six peices retailed for a little under $1000.00 but through the PX I got it all for a little over $400.00 That system really rocked.

I haven't had a chance yet to do any serious comparisons yet with them, but they might have alot of potential. I'be been using a 300b with them.
The C34 sound great. I like the JBL sound if they use a midrange horn. The non-horn midrange speakers really lack in the midrange. Cheers.
