...that one asks AFTER one does a little homework. IOW, one asks for others' efforts AFTER one extends at least some of one's own.

A little too ready to jump on peoples rea end 'round here...
by summarily dismissing the original poster with his “This question has been asked an(sic) answered hundreds of times” attitude and things went down hill from there.Truth be told, that same attitude could be applied to just about any and every question or comment made on just about any Asylum page.
If chasing newbies off the board is your goal, go for it.

Boo!
My intention was not to knock anyone off the board, but to help a newbie get as much help from as many sources with the least amount of effort and in the least amount of time. That's Fact #1. Fact #2 is that his question has been asked and answered many, many times. So, his question would have been answered quickly by experts.
Fact #3, We do have a Search on this forum. What is it's purpose? The purpose of it is exactly why I suggested it to the poster. Anyone that construed anything more than that, must have misunderstood my intent. "Come on people, smile upon your brother, let's try to get together and love one another, right now". Regards.
have anything to do with the Ivanmeister's point that the phrase “This question has been asked an answered hundreds of times” might put a newbie off using the asylum? Yeah, I know you dropped the classic 'I'm misunderstood' bollocks; turning that on its head, maybe you should have expressed yourself more clearly. Freakin' external locus of control..."Come on people, smile upon your brother, let's try to get together and love one another, right now" Hell yeah.
