Hello guys, I just switched from SS to a SET amp (15 Watt EAR 869) and looking for pair of speakers for an 11 x 20 ft room. ( for about £2-2,5K) One of my options is a used pair of Livin Voice OBX R2. Speakers should be wife friendly compact floorstanders. Any ideas? Thanx.

Thanks guys. Meadowlark would be an interesting choice, but it is rare here in UK. I am very tempted to try Zingali Overture (speaking about WAF). Has anyone tried them?

in five years my system; pro ject 6.9, ortofon mc 25fl, ear834p (with volume control), ear 869 (switch power), living voice auditorium, audio note an-v, audio note an/spe (bi-wire), i want to upgrade 6.9 to rpm 9.1x and mc 25fl to kontrapunkt b
i listen continious other various systems but still love very much my system
From experience this amp is remarkable and (with a few tweaks) has driven a pair of Martin Logans Sequel II's with consumate ease to the utter amazement of those present !... proven to be a superb match with Quad 57's and also a truly wonderous combination with Meadowlark Kestrel 2's....I would imagine it would be well teamed with the OBX R2's also...give them a try first if you can, but as far as compact floorstanders with ultra WAF, my Kestrel 2's, I've been told by the missus.."are not going anywhere, and don't ever think of selling them !"
Here is what I run with the ZEN amp and the combonation sounds just great. Louis is a great guy to deal with as well. And....the price is VERY reasonable and his build quality is top notch. Cheers.
