Merry Christmas fellow valve devotees!! I'm down to my last set of 1947 RCA Grey Plates....eee gads.......I'm browsing the net and I have found only one outlet that even sells RCA 2A3s. I have to admit that it's been 4 years since I was in the market. Could any of you wise ones direct me to some reputable dealers that have a few choices? I'd appreciate any feedback...........again...MERRY CHRISTMAS!

TubeWorld has them. His prices are the lowest, but he's reliable.

I think you meant "are not the lowest" but I have found him to be the best. I have been happy with all my purchases from him.
Ah yes, typos, I love them. You're right, TubeWorld is not the WalMart of tube pricing.

Tom,From what I can tell, from comments by many builders, there are other 2A3s of current production that will readily sound better than the bi plate RCAs, at a cost, so don't sweat this RCA's specific type availability.
Also, if you wanna get the most life and good sound out of your replacement RCAs, reduce the bias to about 43 to 45 mills, with no more than 250 VDC across the tube, P-K. It will be more relaxed sounding, actually sound better than 60 mills, less strained, and the tubes will last 'till the cows come home !! Have your cake and eat it too.
