Meaning is determined by useage in the common tongue: 'slanderous'
and 'libelous' are synonyms that mean 'gravely insulting'. Why are
you not off listening to some new age drivel, like that Andreas
nobody crap.
Follow Ups:
Slanderous and libelous are not synonymous. They are two separate types of defamation. The fact you do not know the difference, and can't allow yourself to be politley corrected, doesn't make you right, or me wrong.
I am not referring to what they so very specifically mean in court.
I am referring to everyday language, i.e., how they are used. It's
clear from my post.

Don't you have to arrange your sock drawer? Rake the gravel in your
driveway? We already know you are peerless at making a fool of
yourself, so show us you can do simple manual tasks.
or are you afraid of a jury of your peers?
I vote for JR

Women are human,
But men are not women.
Slander is defamation.
Libel is defamation.
But slander is not libel.

And, yes, those tesaurii can be tricky, especially for the likes of
you. The link is clear, as are a zillion others. Give it up; you make
me feel like I am pissing on an unconscious wino.
