2 shots of a reposado or anejo tequila, a shot of Patron or Luna orange liqueur (or Cointreau if yer a lawyer or a plumber), double shot of On The Border Margarita mixer, juice of one medium lime, light salt on a lime juiced rim, lots of rocks in a big ol 16 oz insulated metal coffee mug.

...........have U tried Don Eduardo tequila? It is one of THE best/smoothest Tequilas' I have ever had the pleasure of drinking.
Yes it is spendy but U will know as soon as your first drink as to why :-)
That is not to say that Patron is average as it is nothing of the sort but for a very exquisite Tequila perspective...........check it out.
Cheers and happy imbibing,~kenster
Too many excellent tequilas, too little time. But there is enough time time to try El Conquistador, a very rich, buttery, smooth tequila and, one of my favorites, Chinaco, a spicy, very full tequila. Both are very different, but very good on the palate.
of Sauza Anejo Commemorativo (yea, I know) so I'll keep the Don Eduardo in mind. Problem is, with the really good stuff, I tend to have a couple cause they're so FREEKIN good and then before I know it, it's time for another $40
Try the Patron Anejo.
2x shot at the bar, $18. Rim of the glass rubbed with lime, that's it. Pretty f'ing good!
2 shots Patron Silver (no substitutions allowed)
+
2 parts Fresh Lime juice (squeezed from organic limes from Whole Foods)
+
A little splendaShaken in a martini shaker with ice shavings, poured into a chilled martini glass (no salt) over more ice shavings.
As my 25-year-old son and only child (Corporal in the USMC) says, "Mom, your "To Kill Ya" cocktail is the absolute best!
I don't get to indulge in these very often but they are worth it when I get the chance!

We get our limes at Whole Foods as well. Not on an organic kick or anything, but Hell, they are just flat out loaded with juice.
