Hi JohnBoy I am curious, if you don’t mind my asking, are you the “electronic” John Curl that was a friend of Ron W’s a long time ago (mid / late 70’s)?
Please excuse my intrusion if you are someone else, if not, I think I met you “back then”.
If you mean Ron Wickersham, that's my old friend and colleague.
Do you still haul those 'Bass bins' to live concerts? I saw something similar in London when I hung out with a company called Kelsey and Morris. They did the sound for Pink Floyd in those days (1972). They used modified Phase 700's to get enough power for the bins. Those were interesting days!
Hi John
Yes, that’s you then.
In what seems like a life time ago, I met you when I was out visiting a friend who knew a friend of Ron’s. I probably would have been acting as a shy techno groupie in awe, while looking just like the buda shaped person working on an amplifier in this photo from around that era (half way down and it was 200W ch made with the output xfm’s from a 2000Sunn).
Anyway, I talked to Ron a couple other times later about the Servodrives at trade shows, but our conversation was limited but it is nice to know its you.
Best regards,Tom Danley
