That could make a nice difference.
I really think that they should be with a very nice balanced preamp to show their quality (if there is but I suppose so).
Kind regards,

Sorry I just realized i have not answered your question... No my preamp has unbalanced rca outputs...
Yes, probably... also, when I make comments on the BM5As now, keep in mind that they are connected to my preamp with a $8 10ft Hosa interconnect... Things could change quite a bit (especially imaging) the day I will hook them up with decent interconnects. Anyhow I am still searching for good interconnects (good bang for the buck)... if you have any suggestions, please let me know... I am looking into getting some zaolla www.zaolla.com
They seem to be seriously designed and manufactured, and they do not have a rolex price tag...

Dear Mr. Chris, you say:"Anyhow I am still searching for good interconnects (good bang for the buck)... if you have any suggestions, please let me know".
I am really sorry to tell that I cannot be of any help.
But I suggest you to try balanced connections, if you can.
They usually lower the noise and that is a really good thing in general.
I intend to try even some nice and cheap mixers, like the ones from Mackie that I understand are quite good and have balanced I/O.
Thank you again for all your kind and extremely valuable informations.Kind regards,
