See the post of 9/11 with the same heading in General Asylum. I am mentioning this in the Pro section since Hafler products were mainly for the pro market. But, I use my Hafler 9505 Transnova amp at home and it is truly superb. I'm really sorry to see Hafler close.
Follow Ups:
It says they are stopping the Pro lineSo...what about the home audio line ?
I have had a few Hafler amps that are just pure gems for amps
I have a small mosfet Hafler that has excellent sonics
I hope it is just part of the David Hafler operation
Hafler as pro-brand looks to have stopped being used. They're owned, last I heard, by Rockford-Fosgate but I don't claim to keep up with the buying/selling of brands these days.David Hafler died a couple of years ago, I believe, but only after he sold the old Hafler operations in the late 80s. It carried on without him, then. BTW, the old Hafler parts have been sold off via Sound Valves for most of the 90s. They stil show up on eBay occasionally.
The biggest issue will be for those with warranty issues, I suppose. Good business practice would dicatate that Rockford honor them, of course.
Cheers,
nt
