Using a Tascam D-RA1000HD Recorder, which produces either DSD or Broadcast Wave files. Is there any software program which will decode these files for playback on a computer that doesn't cost a fortune?

This program works perfectly.Bill Gaw
Modern editors such as Audition 1.5 and higher just read BWF, as this is just a variant of the .wav format.Tascam offers a free version of Minnetonka Discwelder Bronze to owners of DV-RA1000s. This tool can convert DSD to 96k/24b PCM. It can also author DVD-As.
Did you buy the DV-RA, or is it only in for review?
Bought the unit for use and its so good decided to do the review.
It comes with a free copy of Diskwelder Bronze.
The problem is that Bronze won't allow you to listen to the tracks before you process them and the TASCAM has to be in USB mode to do the transfer of data so you can't listen on it either.
Also, would like to use the computer to playback files that have been transferred to external hard drive without having to transfer them back to the TASCAM.
Is there a program that will allow playback of an entire filewithout going to one of the expensive pro programs?
For BWF you can use Neosound / Audacity. Shareware. For DSD there is AFAIK no solution without converting first in Bronze.

Thanks. Unhappily, neither program will decode the files. They open them and one can see the wave form but playback only gives digital noise. Any other ideas?
I tested them with the sample files in link below. Sorry, I don't
have any of my DV-RA1000 files here at the office.
And at home I only have experience reading them into Audition 1.5, which
works flawlessly bar a 10% chance on a PC crash (probably memory mgmt thing).
Sorry, forgot link.
