The RMX series is entry-level. Conventional power supply, noisier fan.The PLX2 series is higher-level. Switch-mode power supply, lower noise and distortion.

Hi Bob,
I just picked up a rmx 1450. It is very nice, drives my MMGs very nicely... The only thing I cannot live with is the fan noise. Is there a way to change that? WHat do I need to know to about the stock fan to find a replacement? Is it really bad if I actually take it out? I run my MMGs at levels that are not very demanding on the amp. Many thanks in advance for your advices.
I might have a free solution. Where are you located, and can you give me the first four digits of the amp's serial number?
I'll see if I can give one of those PLX2s a try!
