I mean musicianship and quality of music-wise?
Follow Ups:
I used to play some of those pieces, and I like the interpretation, but it's not world-class. I can't remember who does a better interpretation. The sound is pretty good, but not great. It is not a hi-rez showcase and doesn't have that much more ambience and power in the mix than a good 16 bit.
I just got some CD's I bought on Amazon for like $8 that ARE world-class performances, mainly Beethoven Violin convertos, Brahns Quintet, etc. Time to research some Ravel..
You can actually get on the site and listen, or buy a track to see how it sound.I did this at first, and liked the master quality of the recording. As I said, no digititis. Most 16 bits do.
I bought the album, I have a Naxos of this music too, and it does sound a bit 'digital' which I find on a lot of Naxos discs.I don't get digititus from my system on GOOD 16 bit ;-),
No Lang Lang, but technically (music) very good.
