Does anyone know the specs on the pulse transformer used on these hifidiy USB to SPDIF converters? I want to mod one to an AES/EBU...The part used is a Sumlink ST-DV709...a translated page (using Google) from the sumlink website suggests the turns ration is 1:1...anybody know "for sure?"

How do you read any of the info on hifidiy.net?? On my pc all the info shows up as ?????????. They seem to have alot of interesting stuff too, do they have an English site??

But I've had very good luck with the 470-1006 from DigiKey. It has 1:1 ratio. Excellent bandwidth.
This is the same one you use on your USB to SPDIF converter, right? How could one go about getting a 110 ohm impedance from said transformer? Just add a 35 ohm (=110-75) in series on each of the SPDIF legs?
Drive it with 75 ohms and the 1.22 winding ratio steps up to 110 ohms.
