Running Radio Paradise 128k AAC through Winamp, Philips outboard USB Dac and laptop through my system. I just switched from playing 192k through Windows Media Player and immediately noticed a major upgrade in the sound. Outstanding resolution.

That's not a surprise. But it's great news! For streaming AAC+ is the far superior format, achieving much better sound quality at lower bandwidths. I believe 64k AAC+ is equivalent to 128 or 192k MP3, so 128k aac+ must sound great.
the 128k aac+ stream is new on their site, i will have to try it out. I wish iTunes would support AAC+ streaming.

I was using iTunes, but RP constantly dropped out, so I started using the 192k mp3 stream with the Octoshape plug-in to media player. I had little experience with the AAC format so I was somewhat shocked that it was so much better. You live and learn.
You got the AAC+ *streaming* to work on iTunes??That damn octoshape plug in kills my router.. whenever i use it i lose my internet connection on my computer. weird.

No, it was the 128k mp3 on iTunes. I agree that the Octoshape plug in has issues. I think Winamp is the answer for me.
192K on Windows Media player in what format?
