Hooray! If this works as advertised, the Squeezebox finally has a nice interface for those who use flac files.
Follow Ups:
here:
I just got my SB3 yesterday and haven't tried it yet but I thought it could play FLAC files without extra software. FLAC will be my main format due to downloading live Jamband shows such as Widespread and Keller Williams.
I'll be seeing them in Detroit tonight at the State Theater right across the street from Tiger Stadium (I refuse to call it "Comerica Park") ... it's going to be a great weekend in the Motor City.
Initiative comes to those who wait.

Jimmy was outstanding. I can't believe the quality of the audience recordings on etree. Let me know what you think of the show.
Slimserver can play Flac files, it just is a terrible interface. To the point that I find it amazing how people can even use it with large collections (those that span multiple hard drives).
Why can't you create links or shortcuts to your other drive's music folders?I would suggest that you try the software that's referenced in this thread. (You will certainly gain an appreciation for your Slimserver software.)
don't like the server software supplied. This is apparently an alternative.
To infinity and beyond!!!
