Do you no what it is. Call it what u well its not made by ATMA-SPHERE!Ever think why Ralph dose,nt make one any more.I used auto-former,s be four chep fix for low fi! thanks

@ tubevibb - ' tone ' it down a little please ...Im fairly sure that you are creating more heat with youre posts, than what comes off the amp you've built.
Stu
Tone it up a lot please,DIY OTL RIGHT?
For those of us who have actually used the Zero in our systems, it's pretty darn good and adds little to no discernible distortion, as long as you don't try to multiply the impedance by more than 3X or so; the lower the better, of course. But hey, what is the value of an actual listening experience compared to your off-the-cuff opinion?
6Weeks u to can have to make up mind on what u here? I SAY GO FOR IT. Thank,s
Tubevibb, I am really sorry, but I have no idea at all what you are talking about in your response to my previous post. For example, where do you get "6 weeks" from? Are you saying that you tried the Zeros in your system for 6 weeks and did not like them? If so, I believe you and you are entitled to make your own judgment, but you are one of the rare persons who has come to that conclusion. OR you may be referring to Paul Speltz' policy of allowing a home trial for 30 days (not 6 weeks, AFAIK) on the Zeros. My message to you is simply to say that if you have not actually tried the Zeros in your system, don't dismiss them as undesirable. Also, obviously if one has a high impedance speaker, e.g., early Quads, early Martin-Logan CLS I's, etc, one may not need Zeros to mate with an OTL. In other words, use 'em if you need 'em without fear of added distortion or limiting the bandwidth. One other way to deal with an impedance mismatch between amp and speaker is to use NFB in the output circuit to reduce the output Z of the amplifier. This can be done with circlotron or Futterman type OTL amps and with any transformer-coupled tube amplifier. NFB however has its own potentially unpleasant side effects.
Go to site, now 60 day,s U dont wont to talk about B+ feedback? I gess not.Or bypass of it with cap,s. Thank,s for your time.
As I mentioned more than once, my amps have had the 1K feedback resistor installed since the day I built them about 8 years ago (from parts and schematic supplied by Ralph). My amp/speaker combination has no high frequency harshness or peakiness whatever, so I see no need to mess around with the feedback resistor or bypass caps, but I have no problem with your doing so. I am interested to learn about your use of bypass capacitors, but what is there to discuss? One question I did pose to you in my desire to "talk" about the bypass cap is what formula or other rationale did you use to determine the value of the bypass cap? It seems odd to me that you went from 0.86uF to 16.86uF in one step. What made you think that 16uF (as opposed to smaller or higher values) would be better? You have not answered these questions.
My M60-II kits were 99,oo,no 1k is shone. But for some one who had a CIRCLOTRON,amp what 6-7 years,of mods of all i could, big tone. thanks for your time
