Just an advisory: a close friend of mine had a horrible experience with a Melos repair facility located in Las Vegas. This was not merely limited to a bad repair job. If either of the recommended shops below is located there, I would proceed with caution. If they ARE located in Las Vegas, ask about recent ownership history. If there is new management, there may be no problems; this happened about 2-3 years ago. If you send your units there, keep track of the serial numbers and take photos showing the condition of your units before shipping. It might be best of all just to seek out a competent repair shop in your own area or seek out help via the Asylum.
Moot point, Lew. The fellow, whose name I believe was Will, passed away not long ago. Unfortunately it seems people are now left to their own resources.
Not sure I understand; are you saying that the fellow who owned or ran the Las Vegas facility is deceased? If so, I agree. Anyway, my point is also moot, because neither of the other businesses specifically recommended is located in Vegas nor seems related to the one in Vegas. Anyway, I would think that there are many folks out there who are competent to repair a Melos 200.
Google Melos Audio Restoration and you will find what you are looking for.

Looking for an output power transformer for above. Unit uses 2, has output for both 8 and 4 ohms. Each one is I believe 600 watts, measures 4 x 4 x 3 inches (approx.) and is used on a pair of KT 88 output tubes. I have no schematic. Any suggestions please.
I need the same thing, but should replace both at the same time. I found a place - Hammond Transformers (Canada) # 1650N should work. Any other suggestions anyone - before I buyÉÉ
Thanks for all your help on the Melos repair. The people in Vegas is out of business so I am staying away from that. I am going to contact that other person in Florida. Again, thanks!
