I just found the Atma-Sphere site - boy am I TIRED of OTL sites saying THEIR amp is the one and only, the best, the patented, etc, etc. Oorg. Ugh. (Really tired of b___s___ hype).NONETHELESS, I would really like to look at the circuit they are using, with 6SN7's driving 6AS7G's in a transformerless output design. They claim they have a patent, but don't list the patent or the schematic on their website. If they have a frigging patent, why are they hiding the circuitry and the patent? (To keep a DIY like myself from making the amp for myself from scratch, of course!!:) Does anyone know where to find it? I looked on the tube data site but Atma-Sphere was not listed in their list of schematics. Does anyone have any feedback on whether these amps are better than any other OTL (The Beast, etc, etc) or - for that matter - SET amps (Angela 300B, etc, etc)? (Boy I'll bet these Atma-Sphere amps put out some heat! If nothing else, they'd probably be great at heating an ice-fishing shack!!)

ANy has the power supply schematic of the ma60? and the voltages in the out? Regards
Hello Sir,Have you ever heard of good manners and tact ?? I think that your comments are way out of line regarding Atmasphere. By the way--you are not owed anything and with the manner in which you are asking for help is very strange !!! Why would someone wish to help you do anything ??
Ralph/Atma-Sphere helped DIYers like yourself for 20 years. They offered kits, manuals, parts, and phone advice for many years.
They did stop selling kits several years ago, but I think you will find them friendly and helpful if you ask. They aren't hiding anything. What you will find is a reliable, great sounding OTL with a circuit that has evolved over 25 years. I think you will have a hard time finding another company that has been building OTL's for 25 years.
Be polite , and make a genuine enquiry with the company , and see how you go .
I am very VERY happy with the results of my efforts ( building an M60 clone ... ) so much so , that I am starting to build the second with an energy that makes me feel lazy about the time it took me to build the first monoblock .
And please remember ..FULL respect must go to the people involved in design , innovation & assembly of the amps ...you just can't go around being an " I want ..I want " type . The internet has the power to help people , and destroy their efforts at the same time . WHY should the design be available on the net for Freebie values as you expect ?

I've been laughing at myself all day after reading your post. Duh. Somehow it just didn't occur to me they'd send me one if I asked for it. I'll give it a try, maybe they'll still do it (or maybe they've caught on and won't). :)

As audiophiles we have all been lied to for the last 40 years. If a dealer, distributor, or manufacturer's lips are moving, they are lying, is how it seems to work- everyone says that their stuff is the best.English is a funny language- all the words in it mean something, and the word 'best' is no exception :) So-*someone* has to be the best- who could it be??
Ultimately, you have to try the stuff out yourself. However, for the record, the word 'best' does not appear on our homepage, nor on the awards page, although I am sure we have the word somewhere on our site. We can't find a lion or a tin man to go with the strawman either :)
well, i apologise for inadvertantly slandering your site. i wasn't reacting to your site specifically, i was just suffering from hype burnout. all the sites are so persuasive!in any case, i've now had two good laughs at myself because of this forum; more than i've had in months, it's good for me. i should have known if i named a site the owner would be a member of this forum. not that it matters; i would have said the same thing anyway.
what's especially funny is i was actually kidding about wanting to rip off the schematic to make it myself (not that i would hesitate, mind you; a patent only prevents commercialization, it doesn't prevent people from DIY'ing :)); i just wanted to check whether the circuit idea i have in mind was already covered by your patent. it would be so nice if the idea i have is either not already covered or already a really old idea and in the public domain; then i could just make a low-cost kit for the fun of it and not have to worry about intellectual properties.
so, can i have a schematic? either the 30 watt or the 60 watt mark III, it doesn't matter (unless it does, but you would know, i wouldn't).

The M-60 assembly manual is rather out of date, but does show a good portion of the circuit- enough for you to get your answer. They have been $17.00 for the last 6 years or so.
