Anyone here ever heard Atma-Sphere gear mated to Green Mountain Audio speakers?
Follow Ups:
I have run GMA Europas and Continuim 1.5i's with my M-60's and MA-1's.M-60's and Europas (4 ohm 89db) really improve with the addition of a set of autoformers. The Continuim's (6.5 ohm 89db)was a toss-up. The autoformers added bass and overall body, but at a cost of some detail.
The MA-1's, on the other hand, did not require autoformers and drove both speakers very well. The level of detail provided by the MA-1's really made the Continuims shine.
The soundstage and imaging from the GMA's are very impressive. Because the GMA's are time-phased speakers, make sure you get the speakers set-up properly. The A-S amps make a kick drum reach right out and hit you in the chest. I really like the MA-1/Continuim combination.
I drove a pair of Europas with a pair of M-60's for a while and liked the combination.I won't wax too poetic here because I'm an Atma-Sphere dealer and at the time was a Green Mountain dealer. I'm no longer a Green Mountain dealer as I'm now working on a loudspeaker project or two of my own.
One of the posters here, "chosenhandle" owns both Atma-Sphere and Green Mountain equipment. Not sure if they were / are used in the same system, though.
