Hell fellas, I don't have a darn thing to ask or to bitch about. The M-60's are singing right along and the tubes are all good. I'm just tired of looking at the "spud" post. It seems to me that this particular asylum is getting constipated and I'm just trying to provide a little verbal fiber to get things moving down the colon [column, excuse me]. Here's to turkey genocide!

> I don't have a darn thing to ask or to bitch about. These 'OTL's' are obviously so effective that the owners (and makers) are in sonic bliss and beyond discussion. Somebody needs to do a solid state version. Well I guess that's sorta what PassLabs does?
Oh how I'd love to have a pair of the big Aleph mono blocks to drive my JBL's with (assuming I had a room for the JBL's, but that's another story) as I have the Aleph P Preamp and Ono phono stage - which I happened to buy from acres verde when he decided to go sandless. I have had the pleasure of hearing my system with his M60's driving the JBL's and it was simply the best ever. They provided a real sense of ease and made the room seem deeper than it was, effectively putting me further away from my speakers. I always felt like my room needed at least another five feet in depth so I could get further away from the speakers (the horn part anyway) and those amps made that happen, amongst other things.Alas, I'm on a holding pattern for a while until my housing situation changes since I moved into a condo with a less than ideal audio environment (limted space and neighbors). That and I have a new hobby that will require some funding, namely a parachute since I took up skydiving :-)

Yea. I like his approach on his DIY stuff. (Zen etc.)
Little or no feedback. I've not heard his stuff but have
done some experiments with a super simple SS no feedback
amp and it is a world of differance compared to the normal
differential input high feedback SS circuit.......> since I took up skydiving :-)
Most transistor amps are OTLs, but nobody has applied the acronym to transistor amps since Radio Shack in the 70s. IOW "Its not a big deal unless you can do it with tubes."
