What type of amp would you expect us to recommend? Seems like a low power tube OTL amplifier would do nicely for your speakers. A number of good ones are probably available on the second-hand market for $2K or less. If you insist upon buying a new amplifier, then probably only Transcendent can satisfy your budget requirements, esp if you can build from a kit.

What type of tube amp would you recommend besides an OTL?Well, yes, it is likely that the folks in the OTL forum would suggest OTL's. However, with a $2K budget, perhaps there are better sounding non-OTL based amps. Could one get more for my budget buying a non-OTL?
As for me, I really have zero personal experience with anything other than tube OTL amplifiers, so cannot recommend any other type. Most modern amps sound "good" in showrooms.
Well, I guess it depends what your definition of "more" is.If to you, 120 average-sounding watts is "more" than 60 excellent-sounding watts, then you probably shouldn't bother with OTLs.
But with a $2K budget, I know you can get into some quality OTL equipment. Read my post(s) in the "Sorry to ask an inane question" thread, futher down the OTL asylum page.
Typical selling price for older (pre-Mk.II) Atma-Sphere M-50/M-60 is in the $1500-$2000 range.
