I certainly meant...and took...no offense. Although I did buy "World Without Tears" on LP, I have West on CD. I only buy the occasional new release on vinyl, but I do have a sizable LP collection from before the digital days that I never considered getting rid of.I'm also more than familiar with the slow-to-grow-on-me quality of some favored recordings. And I'm often very interested in giving something I don't like a second...or a 10th chance, if it somehow seems worthy of the effort.
I listen to all of the above: from the entire history of classical music up to the present, a great deal of jazz, as well as rock, alt-country, whatever. And generally I prefer music that demands something of the listener.
By the way: do you know the music of Kasey Chambers?
Follow Ups:
EBerlin..I appreciate your suggestion in regards to Kasey Chambers, Ive since searched and I'm game for most anything, so Ill put her on my short list. And- add in Smart845s Patti Griffin, she sounds excellent from what little I heard of her.
My daughter introduced me to an artist by the name of Holly Brook, Warner Brothers, very nice vocals and some piano, simple but time well spent with my oldest Daughter as shes taking a increased interest in music, much to my delight! Although I'm not sure shes ready for the likes of Yngwie Malmsteen, perhaps a little more quality time, much to discuss with her over some time spent around music and life's reflections.
Thanks again for your suggestion EBerlin; and just by the way Ive read your posts from time to time on this forum { music } and your musical knowledge/perspectives are valued here. :)
much better sound without the distortion/saturation in the US version.
Thanks Tmiddle,Vinyl or cd and where would I find it.
Best...
