What would happen if one of the very best violinists in the world today performed on the street with one of the finest Stradivarius'?

> Almost all of them were on the way to work, which meant, for almost all of them, a government job.>...that people on their way to work are in a hurry and too busy to notice?
Or that government workers don't care for solo violin music?
Or that music-playing panhnadlers scare most people away no matter how good they play?
The last thing you do is acknowledge strangers, especially ones you KNOW want money from you. Plus, classical is a dying artform, so it is no surprise. If anyone doubts that it is a dying artform, go to the symphony and count the over 60 to under 30 ratio. Once the blue hairs die, those seats will be empty.
Because it is hard to commit enough time to really enjoy the performance. One performer I know says that he doesn't play a tune, just random bits of interesting stuff repeated frequently, because he knows the attention span of the listeners is necessarily short. He always sounds great.
Most of these people were in a hurry to get to there jobs on time( also not everyone is interested in classical music, I am though) . Also I found Mr.Weingarten's writing too much exranious b.s. It seems he was trying to write a novel instead of a newspaper article. He could have written the article with a lot more impact with half the words. Just my opinion.

I spend a lot of time reading, that's why I prefere efficiently written articles, So I can read more material. Verbal diarhea is the sin of many writers.
