Trumpet don't know maybe MF. Somebody mentioned HM already, right? This is very fast which makes it difficult to pick patterns and attacks. Got one under my belt but it would a last hope, actually two.
Follow Ups:
No, not MF. I think this was a bit before his time.

MK?

CS (up my sleeve) and did somebody say SG on tenor? I thought so but can't find anything.
I'll stake my rep on it----they're so well integrated except I don't know who the drummer is. I believe I have that record stashed someplace but I'm not sure but I got enough of the trio to make an educated guess. The tempo and noise make it difficult. I'll spring for the King and OM. You got to listen hard behind the noise. It's unbelievable when you focus. Now I'll find out that I'm wrong. Oh well, everybody else has been stumped also. I also thought that SG was noped but then I found that it was #6 that somebody guessed him on.
.....yes yes yes. SG on tnr, CS on tpt, OM on gtr, and I believe it's NCK on piano. The disc label lists the pianist as "Nature Boy", which would make sense. You musta had a serious flashback to get all that at once.

Why does the chicken cross the road?
He ain't, he's stayin' on my side.
...he penned several of the finest jazz standards of the period. Waller was true giant of the music in the largest sense.

I had though of CS much earlier but had never heard him play that fast. I saw him way back in the 50's as a guest trumpet player with Boyd Raeburn's band at the Paramount in NYC so I knew he had the chops to play high. Is the logo for Verve a trumpet player? Well, that's from a photo of the cat. When I was able to focus on the rhythm I got OM and NCK connection. It was weird but I still don't know the drummer.Just some dumb luck.
the only time I heard CS with RN was on a couple of MB vocal cuts. CS DID cross my mind fleetingly but SG - not in a million years. Oh well. Ya got me good!!

I remember the initial shock I got when I spun that record for the first time. Not AT ALL what most people think of when they hear the name Stan Getz.

If you read my first post I mentioned a young bebopper because they all changed their sound and approach over the years. Sonny Stitt was probably the most constant and that wasn't Sonny. I'll be honest, I played an old Getz record and an old Dexter and Wardell record before I realized that there was a good chance it would be Getz. Getz had a hair more Lester in him at that time and a slightly muffled sound. The crowd noise had a big effect on the players' sound also. Red was the easiest to pick out because he was the easiest to hear.
