The alto on #1 could maybe be WS although I never heard him play that fast.#6 is a toss up between a few, at least so far in my addled brain---possibly CV because the drummer is irritating and I know CV played with an irritating drummer, or the tenor could be an under control IJ or FP but I'll go with CV right now. In other words I'm not sure!!

Yes, WS on alto on #1, and CV on tenor on #6. Yep, that's your favorite annoying drummer.

It took me a second listen for WS only one for my drummer. CV had a good band and could play. Good side except for the race to the end!
....to use the bop vernacular. Musta been a lotta bennies in that band. I generally enjoy his stuff though, even those bop vocal things he did.

Well you know because I think I told you that Jackie and Roy became pretty good friends of mine and Roy did an awful lot of tunes for the band including East of Suez. CV was really the first cat to use hip vocalese as part of the band.
