Suggestion: with the dark walls, some Home Depot Up lights (little canned lights that sit on the ground), maybe start with one behind each speaker, or in the corners, would look nice. Turn them on and all the other lights off for evening listening. I've found good lighting can give red walls the dramatic look they usually are made for.

Great suggestion! I can say this because I own 12 aluminum ball light fixtures that sound exactly like what your describing. My room setup used to be backwards from how it is now...front was back wall back wall was front etc...At that time I had 'em all set out 2 in every corner and 2 on each side. Now I'm only using 2 now behind my couch, very warm feel at night. I was thinking of adding 1 behind each 7ft Ficus (fake) tree that I just got today and also one in each corner of the front wall. You may be able to tell from the back wall pic that I have 1 in each corner behind the fireplace.
If the extra 4 are too much I'll just take 2 away, as I said I have 12 of these things...I love 'em!
take care,
Jon
Definitely post a pic with the lights and plant. It should really dress it up.
No prob. I'll try to do it tomorrow or Monday.
