For the tweeter section of the 3.6's (or any other tweeter section for that matter) can I use 2 1 ohm resistors together to = 2 ohm's or do I need to buy a 2 (or larger) single ohm resistors?Forgive my ignorance to this subject.
Thanx,
Jon Kiefer.

Hey Jon,
Your 3.6's will come with 1.2 ohm resistors. You won't want more than that, but perhaps less.
You can buy a bunch of ceramic resistors in 0.1 ohm increments to dial it in for a couple of bucks each say from 0.6 to 1.0 ohms.
Two ohms will squash your tweeter.
Like a bug.

Tried 2 ohms too much loss. I'm back to using a Tara Lab RSC speaker wire...detailed yet more forgiving of higher frequencies. For some MuSiC I'll have to put a resistor in. I'll use the 1.2 for now as thier breaking in after that if I still use resistors I found a company that makes them w/, form what I hear, great sonics compared to stock resistors.Take care bro,

2 1 ohm resisters in SERIES = 2 ohm. 2 1 ohm resisters in PARALLEL = 0.5 ohm. If you don't know the difference, check the link...
Though I have some knowledge about series and parallel from my car audio days, I'm confused about setup. To run in SERIES do I connect 1 resistor to another with 2 wires then use the remaining 2 wires to connect OR connect both resistors to the panel at the same time the same way?Thanx for the help!
Jon
In series means one after the other , like links in a chain.
Yeah, figured that out after a few moments of thought...Thanx for the info though.Jon
