Havent posted in quite a while. I still recognize a few of your names.
I still have 3a's tri-amped and lovin them. What are peeps using for interconnects and speaker cables these days? I'm interested in the DIY types only.
Thanx,
Andy
Follow Ups:
Belden John Risch diy for speaker lines, and also Belden's for interconnects with Cardas Silver RCA's and just as important Cardas solder. Previously used Chris VenHaus DIY project interconnects but found that was waaay too much silver. I do have a couple of VenHaus DIY interconnects using pure copper in place of silver too that I'm going to experiment with in the near future.I also look for DIY's for a number of reasons:
1. cost being the foremost
2. extended lengths
3. performance; can compete with the best of the so-called boutique varieties
4. plain ole' fun making em!
Welcome back!

Hi GL!I'm using my own variation interconnect (all silver cuz I like all the hyper-detail) and am happy with it except for one area:
It is absolutely HORRIBLE connected to my turntable. I have a low output Denon 103D and have to really jack up the amplification in the phono stage. But doing this also amplifies all the stray magentics feeding into the IC. Hence my query. I need an IC that has really good shielding.
All the Best,
Andy
they're considered one of the best sheilded interconnects around.Belden interconnects
