Hey Rod H., I do like them, I think they are a little rolled of in the highs, but they seem to make a lot of bass for their size. In my system, though, I trying to maintain uniform voicing across all the channels, and now that I have the 1.6s in front, MG10s in the rear, I'd like to try the CC3 for the center.

I tried out the CC3 on a stand, hanging from the ceiling, and on a table with my MG 1.6s (front) and MG 10s (rear). Not only did I find it impossible to figure out how to place the bloody thing, the timbre match between the CC3 and the MG 1.6s was off. In pans across the front, you ALWAYS knew when the CC3 came in and it was distracting. I had much better luck with a phantom center. You may have better luck but I advise you to see if you can find a CC3 to try out before you buy one.
Thanks for the input mnilan. Hmm, I was hoping that the CC3 would be voiced like the 1.6...if not, then maybe there's no advantage to using it. A phantom would be cheaper, less work, less intrusive, certainly, but I'm aprehensive about not having dialogue anchored to the display, no matter where you are in the room. You have no problem with this?
Have you tried an MG10 (or similar) on its side for a center? Wonder if it's feasible, and if the voicing is closer to the 1.6 (yeah, I know, I have both the 10 and the 1.6, so I should try it, but I'm being lazy, and trying to glean insights from others...)
Thanks.

Remember, the room you are in has an incredible influence on what you hear, so you shouldn't just rule out the CC3 based on my experience - I just suggested that you should try to hear it first. In your room, the CC3 might sound great... I know there are some folks here who have the CC3 and like it, so please check it out for yourself.I've never tried a Maggie on its side as a center. I saw the theater of the guy who was using MG 3.6s across the front (one on its side on a custom Mye stand). I'd love to hear that - although maybe with MG 1.6s instead of 3.6s. 8^)
Although I am on a different track now (i.e., Maggies for stereo audio and Vandersteens in my HT), I still play with the idea of an all Maggie HT... I like the Maggies better than the Vandersteens but (I guess) my attention is divided when I'm watching a movie whereas when I am listening to music, that's all I'm doing.
