And I've always liked your theme song. ;)
Follow Ups:
Actually, you never heard my theme song. I actually have one, it was written for me by friends of mine in an Australian band called the Pearly Gatecrashers. It's called The Theme From Spinzone or "He Walks Alone".
You can download it here
Hmmm, what happened to "First, I have never downloaded a song and I never will."? Relax, I'm just busting your chops...
OK, now it's a hairsplitters convention. :^ )Of course I meant download as in to purchase a song that way, not load it to hear it. Now I'm going to play my song and sit here and mope...... :^ )
this is how the future inevitably beats you...inch by inch!Nice theme song.
The Fields of the Nephilim's 1st album (Dawnrazor) sounds like a gothed up version of this song...and starts with a Morricone song. The lead singer was totally into spaghetti westerns.
There's no need to mope. Besides, how *can* you mope while listening to your theme song? It's far too upbeat - beats the hell out of Prozac for putting a smile on one's face!
That's a pretty cool theme...like E. Moricone meets Brian Wilson channeled through Nick Cave.
.... to have real talent. They were working (they meaning he and his wife) on a new album a few years ago and were sending me clips as they finished to comment on and I casually asked if he had time to make a song for me. I told him something spaghetti western, clint eastwood like etc... and 2 days later he sent me that. He did it all himself, in a home studio.
It is a genuine shame how talented people like him are unknowns and people foam over star seach morons who can sing, maybe, but that's it.
you can almost see the two by fours propping up the cheesy two dimensional storefront sets. I enjoy watching those old Eastwood / Leone films on TNT. But, it's just not the same as the original private eye tune...Some comedian had a bit about musical themes. Wouldn't it be neat to walk down the street and have your theme played as you go?
