Hi,Is anybody currently using Monster Cable M2.2s speaker cable with their Maggies? What are your impressions of these cables? Thanks very much.

I agree with Dawnrazor; you can get better results for less. I do have to say however that I always have enjoyed the "Monster sound". I have had the M2.2 on Martin Logans once and found they them to work pretty well. I have tryied various wires, stranded vs. mono-strands, fat vs. thin, but at the end, I always returned to Monsters. To my ears, they add a touch of warmth, deepness, depth and image that I have not found in other cables, regardless of the equipment used.
I had some diy cables I had made based on thin magwire say 28g, and some far out there things.Anyhow, I let a friend borrow my set to test in his Mlogan/ Krell system.
He forgot to mention that he was trying it against some store bought cables, one of which was the top of the line Monster, Sigma retro I believe (it came in a fancy briefcase and looked really cool).
He said that he thought the homebrew sounded "clearer" than the monster, and had me make him an 8ft version.
So, IMHO if you have any kind of DIY skills I bet you could make an equal or better sounding cable for less.
Or just get some of the Mapleshade cables.
Second on the Mapleshade cables. They seem to have the speed of silver and the naturalness of copper. A good hybrid.
