You may have known this all along, but I just learned it from Mark at Rogue. The M150 mono amps can use El-34 tubes just by dropping the bias and reseting it for 40.This means that Maggie/Rogue users can enjoy more midrange and smoother treble. My M150s are running the mid/hi's so I'm not concerned about losing any wattage. The amps already put out 85 watts in triode mode per side. I'm guessing the El-34 will result in around 75 watts triode and 125 or more per side in ultralinear.
Mark warned to be sure and drop the bias to zero before switching tubes to avoid replacing tube fuses.

So are you going to try EL 34's and what type?
I like the Svetlana Winged C El-34s for my Jolida. Mark at Rogue said they are his favorite as well. According the Kevin D's website, the Electro-harmonic El-34s have more high-end zip. I will try them only if the Svetlanas are too rolled off.
I just ordered two matched quads of SED Wings for my monoblocks. They're still my favorite. My ST-85 came with EH's and they are brighter.
