I'm shopping for a 50" LCD or Plasma to hang on the wall behind my IIIAs. Will the maggie magnets mess up the screens like they do on conventional TVs?
Follow Ups:
I have a 50" Panasonic Plasma between my MMGs and sub, with no problems whatsoever.
My suggestion is to go w/ an LCD 1080p screen. As long as your Maggies are at least a ft. or so away you should have no problems.
Consider a screen (unless you have to have the panel TV for it's stylish looks)and you'll end-up with a larger image and just as good if not better picture quality. I have Panasonic 1080i projector and it is just outstanding.
I have no doubt that you get a great picture, but 1080p is definitely a step up from 1080i, but you have to be using source equipment that can produce 1080p of course to get the real benefit.I don't own a flat panel right now. I have a POS flatscreen that is huge in the back with standard resolution that bugs me everytime I pop in a DVD, but I'll live.
I have a few other things that are more important to upgrade before I get to my tv, but it's pretty safe to say that I'll be getting a flat panel 1080p when I do-or possibly a 1080p projector now that the prices are comming down so much. But, as I said when I upgrade it will only be to a 1080p screen.
Sorry if I misspelled or didn't make much sense...got a bit of scotch in me ;-)

I have a 32" 1080i LCD about 3' from the Maggies and have experienced no problems whatsoever.
Even if magnetic fields messed with plasma and lcd sets (and I believe they don't) you shouldn't have a problem since I assume the Maggies are well out from the wall anyway.I have huge subs and Maggies within a few feet of a CRT (which definitely can be messed up by fields) and there's no problem at all.
