Frank,I think I would tend towards identical amps for all four channels.
I like the ATI amps myself. You could get a 4-channel version of their AT1800 or AT2000 amp and I think you'd be set for a long time.

Hi Davey,
thanks for your thoughts on this. I recall hearing a pair of Orions that were powered by a multi-channel ATI. Very convincing sound. My impression is that the ATI's are exceptionally bright on the Maggies however, but I've never heard this combination.Worth testing though... thanks!
No, I haven't heard ATI's on Maggie's but I can't believe they were would be any inherent brightness or dullness or whatever imparted by the amps to the Maggie sound. The ATI amps are just plain old solidly engineered amps with no frills, low output impedance, excellent protection, etc, etc.
Your direct hookup situation places an essentially resistive load on the amplifiers and doesn't incur all the frequency response variations that might result from combinations like higher impedance output amplifiers coupled with normal passively crossed over systems. My cousin uses a couple of B&K solid-state amps...picked up on FleaBay for cheap with a crossover essentially identical to yours. It sounds wonderful.
Cheers,
Compared to the premium brands I've been looking at. Worth auditioning for that reason alone. As always, thanks Davey for your help and advice! And I do love the crossover, it's been a terrific improvement over the original Classe/OEM Maggie combo.
