"SIZE" does matter!
Oh sorry that isn't my room afterall, I have only 2 pairs of Acoustats in my room not 3 pairs of Soundlabs.

Come visit me in Salt Lake and I'll show you the home theater version :)
I really wonder if all those (lil given the situation) amps can drive those speakers to their fullest? Probably not, but I'd probably bust a nut just getting to listen to a feww of my favorite tracks on that setup!!!Jon
They can power all the speakers (had them connected at his factory in Ogden), but Mr. Kimber decided to add some Jeff Rowland amps on Saturday.
Oddly, the equipment list reads 'Pass Labs 350.5 x4', but I'm only seeing 'x2'.
and when she stopped laughing she said "No! Not even if you win the lottery." I think it's good to show her stuff like this every once in awhile so she begins to think of the MG-IIIa's as small and unobtrusive.
I may be an egoist but at least I don't talk about other people.
It's amazing to actually hear something like this. I consider it a once in a lifetime experience...
I thought the other three pairs of SLs comprised rearr chanels when I saw 30ft speaker cables.

No those are just curtains hiding the equipment boxes, used as corner diffusers maybe? There are 2 more arrays like the fronts. They're located behind the listeners, but are facing in from the sides.
There are 4 discrete channels on the IsoMike DSD (SACD) recordings. The effect given the nature of these particular recordings, is like the old Hafler/DynaQuad (ambient recovery) as opposed to discrete 'surround' sound.
Three pair of Pro Stats is just about right. :)
Sure looks like Pass
Four 350.5s per the article.
That pic was yesterday. Today they pulled the fronts out further into the room and closer together. And put all the Pass amps on the front speakers. The side/rears are now being driven by bunch of Jeff Roland's little monoblocks.
I could only see the front set of three.
As you entered the back of the room you walked right past the right rears. Both sets of rears were flanked by black curtains so they were almost invisible. Also they weren't readily apparent from an acoustic standpoint, because there was so little information being reproduced by them.
Photography in the room was difficult because the ambient light level was so low. And the audience tended to 'jump' when a big flash was used.
