Any thoughts? Or are you paying more attention to San Jose vs Detroit?Sorry to see your boys got bounced by the Ducks, BTW.....
Ergo grex, ergo sum.
Follow Ups:
the Canucks had accomplished a lot this season when no one else expected them to do anything but finish on the bottom of the heap never mind making it to the play-offs. Not only did they made it to the second round in the play-offs they also won their division on the way there thanks to Bobby Lou who plays mostly in his head every night just to keep them in the game.On the other hand, the Sabers are an awesome team much better than they were last year. However, the Senators are not chicken feed either as they dispatched the Devils in 5 games which is quite a feat considering that Brodeur is playing his best hockey this year. So, who is going to be? I would go with the Senators as they had more grit than the Sabers.
Nevertheless, it does not really matter who is going to win in the east, as the Bullies from the pond will take Stanley home this year.
Yes, that seems to be the consensus of almost every hockey-loving person here at the office as well, and that's why each of us to a man is more excited about the East Semifinals- two closely matched teams who didn't exactly "get along" over the course of the season.(But it sure would be cool if the winner of the San Jose/Detroit series could put some serious hurt on those Uber-Ducks).
Ergo grex, ergo sum.
that could withstand the pounding of the Pond’s Mighty Bullies is San Jose. However, I have a nagging feeling that Detroit might win the series. If Detroit does win watch out for the Mighty Bullies to cracked the Detroit’s defense ribs and possibly take a couple or perhaps three of D. Hasek’s teeth or whatever left along with it.
I guess I didn't expect the level of animosity toward the Ducks' pursuit of the Cup. I do dislike the Sharks and was not displeased to see them swept aside. Is the hostility primarily focused on Brad May? Chris Pronger?
Give me some clues, please.
primarily focused on the Mighty Bullies of Anaheim team as a whole because they are the best of what they do besides bullying players around. Don’t get me wrong Burke did assemble this team to be just that big, fast, intimidating and bullies. However, you can’t compared this team to Philadelphia bullies back in the 70’s when D. Schultz and Clarke lead the league in penalty minutes in which to me they won games by sheer intimidation factor alone. The Mighty Bullies of Anaheim are a different sort of breed of hockey players akin to a proto-type hockey team if there is one existed out there. Not only that they are big they’re fast as well and can skate with the best, can out-hit with the best. It doesn’t hurt either that they have the best defensive core, the best scorer/sniper, the best power forward and the goalie in the league. So what do you call a team like this? I still called them bullies.
In the words of Theodore Roosevelt: "Bully. Bully."
WOOLY BULLYUno, dos, one, two, tres, quatro
Matty told Hatty about a thing she saw.
Had two big horns and a wooly jaw.
Wooly bully, wooly bully.
Wooly bully, wooly bully, wooly bully.
Hatty told Matty, "Let's don't take no chance.
Let's not be L-seven, come and learn to dance."
Wooly bully, wooly bully
Wooly bully, wooly bully, wooly bully.
Matty told Hatty, "That's the thing to do.
Get you someone really to pull the wool with you."
Wooly bully, wooly bully.
Wooly bully, wooly bully, wooly bully.
