gmail works fine for a while but the more messages you store on their website, the slower it runs. I signed up two years ago because I was between ISPs, but gave up using it a year later because of its glacial pace. Also, you'll find that you get LOTS of spam. I mean LOTS! Still, it's free, and it does give you an offsite backup. The nice thing about that is you can email yourself things you want to save and you're protected if your computer's hard drive crashes.

In fact in the year I've been using it I must say it's been remarkably spam free even though I use it for signing up for all sorts of different things. It's also still quite fast, so I have no complaints about that.I do like it's clean and relatively unambitious design, unlike Yahoo in which they've tried way to hard to make it look and act like an email program like Outlook Express. Now *that's* glacial.
I've never ever had even one piece of span on my g-mail account.Course, I don't know if I've missed any e-mails either.
lpjazzman@yaho.comIf I find I don't like the Google, I'll go there and let everyone know. But it's spam city there, too!
I hadn't been to my e-mail account at Yahoo for months and if I had a buck for all the porn sites and mortgage loan offers I could pay off my mortgage and set up a sex toy shop downstairs.
First, let me show you the Sybian.

If I had more money I'd soon be broke...but I'd have more LPs!
