Literally. This is a film from 1947 about a couple of young cats raising a family. It's silent, but that's not a hindrance here, it's very heart warming :-)Enjoy!
Follow Ups:
I had to watch it through before passing the link on to Mrs. H and the first filial generation, to make sure there were no sad bits.It is, indeed, heartwarming... and cute, and funny, too.
It would probably make a great one for showing kids the cycle of life sort of thing. What I like is the cinematography is pretty darned good for what I presume are perhaps amateurs, or at least a couple of dedicated professionals using the technology of the day. Wonderful closeups and well captured moments.
Excellent documentary. And to think done in the year 1947. How many generations have come and gone since then from this brood?
Their heirs must still be around somewhere. I wonder if the film makers or their associates are still around today as well. I'd love to hear what inspired them, although I guess it's obvious :-)
Perhaps if the filmers were fairly young. No doubt the obvious reason for this documentary was their love for their cat family.
It's almost a typical human story in some ways. You could almost put some typical human family dialog into their mouths in many cases.
... and write a script for this movie and dub the necessary dialogue for us all to enjoy. Sound effects would be interesting as well.
I've got the equipment and software to do a pro job of it. Now, if I can do Garfield and Morris voices without getting sued...
I don't think you'll be sued unless you promote it for profit-making purposes, but then I'm no attorney.
I'm certainly no voice impressionist. But I am downloading the film in the highest resolution I can so I can play with it in my video editing software.
