After reading Feet's response to that certain someone, I don't
feel so bad for telling him to F*** Off a few months ago...
Follow Ups:
He probably didn't understand you. He probably only speaks some strange dialect from olde Englishe and thus must address him thusly:"Unthrivingly threep thee!"
There, that should really get in his knickers ;-)
(The above quote from a play written about 1000 AD in an almost indecipherable English dialect which I was a part of. Try memorising a few hundred lines of *that*)
The F bomb was not delivered upon Feets. It was deployed onto
his jousting mate. It was something I later regretted doing.
But I guess one should not read posts from individuals who
irritate them when they are sick and running a fever. Yeah..
that's it..I was delusional at the time.....
I misunderstoodificated there.Still, the bizarre olde Englishe insult should be used freely as I believe the copyright ran out just over a thousand years ago...
and "Heaven forgend" does not do that badly, either...
As you undoubtedly were already aware, "Heaven forgend" should have read, "Heaven forfend!"...
I trow we should be shent...
In the words of Ken Dodd, "They can't touch you for it!"....
'cos I can't remember you telling me to "F*** Off" at any time!... :o)Have happy times!...
Actually the expression is, "You reap what you sow ." Pismiringly speaking, of course.
Best regards,
I thought I had that wrong. So I googled it and found other
people who used sew instead of sow. But you are correct sir!!
I found the following clarification. It is re-assuring to me
however to find that there are other dumb-asses like me who
incorrectly quote old sayings... ;-)
I shall never say "my friends and I" again.
That's just what happens, Grover, when you lose all of your friends...I forward my condolences... :o)
:-)
DevillEars
I can't think of anywhere to go with that one. (thankfully)
:-)
that - as is my wont - I had taken the bait, but avoided the hook?..."It's a clever little trick... Watch closely now, and watch how my hands never leave my wrists...."...
you "rip what you sew" - maybe that's just me. Anybody who's seen my adept skills with a needle and thread will attest to that.
