Is this a defunct brand? The only ref I could link was one to a John Berardi, a sport fitness guru.

don't know a thing about them, just remembered the name.
Missing "N". However the letter shapes in each name look similar.
Berardi owns or owned a shop outside Bologna. He pretty much used standard Columbus steel tubed, lugged, frames. I was lucky to get the official Berardi seatpost, and Berardi stem to match.
It's a pretty standard frame a la Somec, etc. It's not worth anything really as Berardi work was not as popular as something like Colnago or Zeus or other big Italian manufacturers. So, - it's value is just in any one person's bling factor. If I really like the ride, and have some extra bike money lying around, - (HA! like pigs will fly), - I may have it repainted, as the frame decals can still be bought....
