The only difference is that this time I knew I had nothing to say before I started typing. I shall now go back to staring out the window, watching this idiotic bird aggressively defending his newly established territory from an unwanted intruder......his own reflection. If he somehow manages to knock himself out, free e-drinks for everyone!

Great for blowing out the old system. I think you can make two pieces out of a single chihuahua.
Hasn't rained all year, and I take 15 minutes to go to TJ's, and it rains and hails on my car. Stopped as soon as I got back, and probably won't rain again until 2008.

on the way home...or maybe the same one twice. The wind up here is incredible.
and it's swirling, so sometimes it's coming from the east, and I have a genetic aversion to east winds. I'm trying really really hard to stay on even keel today. Devil wind.

I loved seeing all the Aussie plants in and around SF.The Presidium, and the park up on the hill avec bandstand, have heaps of River Peppermint gum trees / Eucalyptus Elata - bark hanging down in strips, branches and leaves hanging down, covered in pale yellow flowers in Spring.
There were rows of THE red-flowering-gum (Euc. Ficifolia) and red flowering bottle brush right down Van Nuys Ave. ? 1997.
I've got a Euc. Elata on my front lawn beside the driveway. And a Euc. Radiata subsp. Robertsonii - Narrow leaved peppermint, it's a native to the area, and it's a good 70 feet or more high! And a Euc. Sideroxylon / Red Flowering Ironbark. NOT as spectacular in flower as the Euc. Fic.!
