I cant believe what has happened to Yahoo mail. After you send nearly every email, you have to type in a character string as a so called, spam fighter. So if you send a dozen or so emails, you have to type in a large number of character strings. I cant believe someone thinks that this is a good idea! Am I missing a way around this idiocy? Or is this what Yahoo has become? What a joke.

I've never been challenged with a capcha, but I am rather annoyed at the way they've implemented the AJAX user interface. It takes a huge amount of time to load unless you have very fast connection and works slowly.I've started migrating to Google Mail as it uses just the right amount of AJAX to make things run smoothly and makes for a very fast email experience.
If you want to try it out, I can email you an invite to try gmail. Just let me know.
Thanks for your reply. I learned a new word; capcha! I'd like to move over to Google but I have issues with their privacy policy. Plus, it is a huge pain to move your main email account.Maybe if things get worse I'll do that.
I'm certainly not getting spam on that account, so I'm quite happy with it.As for moving over your account, all you need do is send out a mass mailing to your contacts letting them know that you're moving mail servers, and give them the new one. Then set up a forwarding rule in Yahoo which forwards all email to the new account, so you won't miss a word.
I don't have any problems. Neither does my wife or our son
have any problems with Yahoo mail.
Maybe you need some good internet security software.
