but you'll find little evidence over at WC. Some of the threads have either vanished or been moved to Whiner's.

I think that suggestion is a little "strong"!...:o)As for any other forums, perhaps all (with the likely exception of "Central"!) are likely to have a periodic rash of contributors who may appear to post motivated by unreasoned instinct (I partly resisted the temptation to refer to this characteristic as "bigotry":o)) rather than any considered thought, but it is obviously in the interests of other inmates to slowly restore a situation where - even when radically different opinions are held - any differences can be calmly (and politely!) compared and assessed by all concerned...
Bill.
but I am starting to think it might be one of those "looks good on paper" kind of things. ;~)
NT.
That's the only reason I can come up with.
that basically polite behaviour and good-natured "ragging" need not be the exception, but the "norm"...I naturally accept that each group of inmates will ultimately decide the qualities of the correspondence that is typical of each forum that they choose to use, which of course will, for better or worse, automatically indicate a great deal of the inmate's own characters and perceptions... as it does on this forum...
Whilst I can see some point in posting at WC, I am completely lost at why anyone not an inherent part of the self-absorbed and self-interested navel-gazing culture I saw when I sampled it's wares would bother to waste their time on such essentially pointless correspondence...I would have thought that the odd Crown lager or three to the accompaniment of good music would hold a MUCH greater attraction...
I've just enjoyed Schumann's 4th Symphony, myself...
Sometimes I get to blow the whistle just before the collision. ;~)I'll have that lager anyway, thank you......soon.
