Does anyone else have troubles with that damn "Insert" key located right above the Delete key? I hit the stupid thing so often....You see, I have to look at the keyboard as I type (with both fingers!), and when I try to hit the back-up/"left turn" (w/o looking) I often miss and hit the Insert instead. So why the troubles? Well, since I have to look at my fingers as I type, if I am editing something (such as a lengthy email regarding Great Lakes carriers) I often find myself typing over my previous work, and since I already have enough difficulty typing as it is....Grrr!!!
Ok, I feel better now. Go on with your day....
Ergo grex, ergo sum.
Follow Ups:
....tapping the trackpoint hard enough is the same as a left click? Messed me up plenty of times until I figured it out accidentally.....
I got the big fingers - bigger than the keys on a keyboard. I too need to watch the keyboard as I type. I'm not fast but I can use more than one finger on each hand as I compose.
My problem? Hitting a couple of keys at the same time. If I get right into what I'm typing and then look up after a minute and try to re-read what I've written?? That can be scary.
So it's usually 30 seconds of typing and then 40 seconds of correcting, backspacing, inserting, shift, space...
My pet peeves are the "A" and "Caps Lock" for the left hand and the "p" "[" for the right hand.

On my Dell, that bugger was right next to the backspace key, and it drove me crazy. On the Fujitsu, it's above the '+' key and out of the way. I had forgotten how frustrating that is.
when using my habitual "one finger" typing...Though there may be folk that could suggest that they have seen little evidence to support my statement, I deliberately adopted the slower approach simply as it gave me more opportunity to reflect on exactly what I wanted to say before I said it...
I did not see any great benefit in producing high-speed output if the content of what I produced was of lower quality than I might wish...
I know....... If I composed my comments on WP software and then "cut and pasted" to my message then I could have both higher speeds and an automatic spell-checker, but I instinctively prefer the spontaneity of a direct reply...
I naturally apologise for any spelling errors!...
I took the typing class at school back before they even hand computers. Then when I got into them as a job and for fun, I never look at a standard keyboard.Try typing without looking at the keys - you'd be amazed at what you can do.
I can type pretty damned fast, and every so often my fingers are in a slightly off position. I discover the darnedest shortcuts available on the keyboard, but I never have a clue how I did it.
