tell me, have you dreams I can see?
I came along just to bring you this song,
can you spare one dream for me?
(with no apologies to either Alan Hull or Rod Clements)Greetings, Father William, the not-so-young man said...
(with apologies to Lewis Carroll)As you've probably gathered, I am in much improved humour today - largely due to the recent acquisition of a SOTA RCM and spending some quality time with old much-loved vinyl.
In addition, I've spent the morning sorting through the LP collection and separating them into either "keepers" or "dumpers" and brought some order to chaos.
As 13h30 approaches, the mercury has hit 32 deg C yet again, so have moved on to less strenuous pursuits and am about to indulge in the first beer of the day (the sun is definitely over the yardarm...)
So, have a great weekend, old son - and don't let the fleas bite!
Follow Ups:
so I wish you all the best with your sorting out of - hopefully much more now of - order from (a now acceptable level of?) chaos...If TT rumble or surface noise from those LPs proves a touch distracting, simply turn the hearing-aid down!**...
Have a good week-end!...
Bill.
An ailment caught by having to listen to assholes all day!Listen, young lad, I'll have you know that there's nothing wrong with my hearing that a new set of ears, stirrups, anvils, and cochleas won't cure!
Need I say more?Smile
... must have been that exercise to reclaim needles and other voodoo doll materials the other night that permitted him to return...Actually, glad to "hear" your dulcet Aussie tones again - here's a toast (spoken holding ice-cold Windhoek Lager in the air) to the coming World Cup tournament in the Windies - "may the best side win and come home to SA afterwards"... :-)
(nothing like a little nationalistic pride every now and then, eh?)
Its 34 deg C outside in the shade, the pool is sitting at 27 deg C and the Windhoek's at about 8-10 deg C (which works for me)...
Will be popping off to get takeaway pizza's as wife has a dose of the runs and can't face cooking - and then settling down to some serious beer guzzling... :-)
Enjoy!
