Hello! Thanks for responding! If I use the Madisound md-01 with the Fostex Fe167e, is there a rule of thumb for figuring out the diameter and length of the port mounted on the front of the enclosure? Excuse my complete ignorance on this subject. Peace. Robert
Follow Ups:
According to WinISD, for a 14 liter box, a flat response will require a 2 round x 2.23 port.Personally, I would make a round port 2 x 2 providing a mild bump in the bass. But thats just my preference with this driver. The box will be tuned to about 70hz.

Recommended bass reflex box for the Fostex 167e is 15 liter with a round port 2x 2 so we are all in the same basic area of correctness.

Greets!Interesting! Since the ST35 has 0.8 ohms series resistance I would have gone with the 0.7 ft^3 MD-03 and 1.5" x 1.5" vent for a ~Fb = Fs alignment.
Thanks for taking the time to make the calculation on the port! Any recommendation on a 2x2 port to use? I am not sure if I need anything in particular or not. Peace. Robert
You can buy the port at Madisound cut to size or you can go to Home Depot or other hardware store and look for a pvc pipe. I've seen them pre cut 2x2. If not, they will cut it for you. Also, you will need a drill bit to cut the hole.If you ask Madisound to cut the baffle for you they may do it for a charge. This way you get the hole for the 167e, port and rear terminals all ready for wire and mounting.
Excellent idea on asking Madisound to cut the holes! Thanks for all your help. Peace. Robert
