Hello Angelo,A friend has the Pipe Dreams with the 18" subwoofers...talk about power!! can you fit an 18" driver in there? good from 25 to 250 hz perfect for the BMS 4590.
If you can double the volume for it the Altec 416 in a 300 liters ported cabinet is amazing!
Can you tell me what difference there is soundwise between the Ceramic magnet BMS 4590 and the Neodynium 4592?
I am thinking on going for a 4591 just for mid bass from say 250 to 800 hz.

hi saturntubei really want to use only a 15". i have a altec 416-8b wich i could use. do u think in the 150l cabinet it will still do a good job?
i dont know the differences between the bms drivers.
In a 150 liter cabinet tuned to 32 Hz, the 416-8B will have a 1 dB bump from 100 to 80 Hz, and will be -3 dB at 48 Hz, and -10 dB at 32 Hz.In a 150 liter cabinet tuned to 40 Hz, the Usher 15PA will be -3 dB at 41 Hz and -10 dB at 32 Hz.
In a 150 liter cabinet tuned to 37 Hz, the Pioneer TAD TL-1601b will be -3 dB at 37 Hz and -10 dB at 29 Hz.
In a 150 liter cabinet tuned to 33 Hz, with 11 volts on the field coil, the Supravox 400-2000 EXC will be -3 dB at 40 Hz and -10 dB at 27 Hz.
If you could put the Altec woofer in a 300 liter cabinet like Saturntube suggests, you'd be -3 dB at about 36 Hz and -10 dB at about 26 Hz.
Wow that nice Duke, thanks!
In numbers it doesnt look like much from 48 to 36 Hz -3db but in real life its a big difference, size wise and sound wise....no subwoofer needed now.
