Hi !!Put it in the already-existing line level stage, no need to give the sorry-assed audio amps even more stuff to drive via a complex crossover. You wanna maintain tight coupling between the triode amp output stage and the driver/voicecoil, whenever possible.

I was thinking along similar lines--I want a passive notch filter to go between stages in a preamp--but I'm not sure how to implement this idea. Any suggestions for schematics, formulas, etc. to help establish component values? I assume I'll need one cap, one reactor, and one resistor. I'm trying to notch out a broad peak at about 2.5k. Any help appreciated.
